Q: What is the maintenance/service interval for NIOX Flex?
A: The service interval is 18 months, which must be followed strictly or you risk a non functioning device. Service shall be performed by authorized service personnel trained by Aerocrine. Practical details are specified in the service agreement accompanying the purchase agreement. The product is warranted for a period of 12 months for manufacturing defects. As a customer you would need to change the NO scrubber every 6 months and the calibration gas tank every 9 months. The gas can be ordered from Aerocrine Inc.


Q: What is the operating capacity of the computer in NIOX Flex?
A: NIOX Flex has a built-in computer with Microsoft Windows XP Professional operating system, 60 GB hard disk drive and two USB ports. The processor is a Celeron M 1.3 GHz.


Q: Are NIOX Flex database formats compatible with MS Access?
A: Yes.


Q: What types of printers can be used?
A: NIOX Flex can be connected to a network printer through a network or to any Windows XP compatible USB printer.

Q: Can I connect NIOX Flex to my local network?
A: NIOX Flex comes with an Ethernet LAN interface for network connection.


Q: Where is NIOX Flex approved for clinical use?
A: NIOX Flex is cleared with FDA for clinical use in the USA according to 510(k) K021133 and ETL-Classified according to General Requirements for Safety CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 601.1 and UL-60601-1. NIOX Flex is also CE marked according to Medical Device Directive MDD 93/42/EEC and approved for clinical use in EEC countries.

A: NIOX Flex will be delivered to your clinic 4–8 weeks after your order has been confirmed by Aerocrine.
